We took a picture of as many of the YPG kids who come to MOPS as we could get all together in one place. We made a thank-you for our MOPS Grandma childcare providers. Here are some of the pics. The pic above was the “chosen” gift.

Martha and I both had a Saturday of singleness, Edward (aka Doc) was working in the ER in Yuma and Kurt was preparing to walk in the Baatan Memorial Death March in NM. So, we decided to pack up the kids and head to the bowling alley for a little food and fun.
Kate and Madison love to be “twins” so we dressed them in cute shirts from Gymboree. Kate loves watching Alex, he is a constant amazement to her! And Luke is one of Kate’s best friends, both at day care and away.

Hiking Telegraph Pass

Kurt, Kate and I set out Saturday morning to hike Telegraph Pass. As we drove toward the mountain, Kate kept asking if that was her mountain. So, we now call Telegraph Pass “Kate’s Mountain”. :)
Kate rode in Kurt’s backpack carrier along with baby Janet, and I carried the backpack with the snacks. We had a good walk, Kate even walked for a short time. (with only 1 small fall resulting in a tiny skinned knee) We made it to the top with Kate on Kurt’s shoulders jumping up and down (“go horsey!”), he is such a good Daddy!!
About 15 minutes from the van, on the way back down, Kate fell asleep in the carrier. Too cute!
In all, we hiked about 2 1/2 hours. Not to bad for a Saturday! Hopefully, we will have more opportunities to hike before it gets to hot!

First “BFF” moves away..

While we were still in the hospital, after Kate’s birth, we meet the Riggs family for the first time. Idonna is 2 months older than Kate and they really have enjoyed becoming friends. Idonna’s dad worked with Kurt, but he is now PCS’ing back to San Diego (he is a Marine). We will miss Idonna and Anna and Tim! Good luck and best wishes!!!
